LOCKTON MIS MOTORSPORT TO SUPPORT ALEX SEDGWICK IN FRENCH F4 CAMPAIGN

2014 Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner Alex Sedgwick will contest the French F4 Championship in 2015 with support from Lockton MIS Motorsport.

After a successful 2014 season racing across the UK in the TOCA BTCC series, Alex will now head for Europe to race in the FFSA French F4 Championship with support from Lockton MIS Motorsport.

With the reassurance provided by support from Lockton MIS Motorsport, the leading global brand in motorsport insurance, Alex can concentrate on mastering the famous historic French circuits such as, Le Mans, Magny-Cours and Paul Ricard.

“Sharing this new challenge with Lockton MIS Motorsport is fantastic; they have been a big part of my racing, from my early days in karting, as they are to thousands of other drivers around the world. Having their support with their experience of all types of motorsport is a big help. Racing in Europe will be a fantastic opportunity and, one day, I hope to be racing in the Le Mans 24 Hrs. But, for now, I have a chance to drive part of the famous circuit as part of the F4 championship,” commented Alex.

Lockton MIS Motorsport was created in June 2014 when MIS Motorsport became a division of the Lockton Group of Companies. They provide an all-embracing range of insurance products from individual drivers competing in local events to works’ teams competing internationally. They can handle insurance requirements at all levels of the motorsport industry, all backed up by a team of highly motivated, experienced professionals who are all specialists in their fields. Whether it is a motor trade policy, commercial insurance, personal accident, on track/event and liability coverage, all are available.

Alex will kick off his F4 campaign with an official test at Le Mans, when he will get his first chance to get behind the wheel and drive on the famous French Le Mans Bugatti circuit. In doing so, he will be following in the footsteps of a number Formula 1 drivers and a Le Man 24 Hrs winning driver, all who raced in the French F4 Championship.

In 2015, Alex will contest half of the championship due to his GCSE exams. Then the plan is to return in 2016, with the aim of winning the championship.

“2015 is going to be a year of two halves and I will be aiming to make it successful, both on and off the track. Having the chance to race against some of Europe’s best drivers on fantastic circuits, is a dream come true, ” said Alex.
