We developed a hospitality experience based around the Dubai 24 Hours for the UAE branch of a global company in 2017. The business was in the process of renewing and opening new key OEM client accounts in the region but was struggling to lock down meetings with decision-makers using the traditional methods.
Listening to their needs, we created a weekend of activities based around the race event. Knowing the clients were all petrolheads, we focussed on a 'behind the scenes' approach, giving them the opportunity to integrate with the race team and enjoy a level of access usually reserved only for participants. This was an opportunity that our clients' invitees could not refuse.
The result was a resounding success, with all guests having an incredible weekend and, allowing our client to secure a further meeting and ultimately, a deal with a potential client they had been chasing for the past 12 months.
We even had one guest, now an executive for a major US motor manufacturer make an appearance during the race at 3am, as he just couldn't get enough of the action!
Our programme can also be used to help to build new relationships with retailers and improve productivity amongst employees and partners with passes available as an incentive for reaching performance targets. The perfect setting for networking, providing an opportunity to talk to clients, suppliers and partners in an environment that is much more relaxed than a boardroom meeting.
