ALEX UNABLE TO MAKE THE ‘MOST’ OF THE NEXT ROUND

Rounds 7 and 8 of the NASCAR Whelen Euro series will kick off next weekend at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of his control, Alex will no longer be travelling to Most to contest the next two rounds.

With the news received this weekend that his teammate would not be racing, Alex and the team have decided that Braxx Racing will not now contest any cars in Most.

“With the news that Marc would not be able to race in Most, I had the opportunity to go as the single car entry for Braxx Racing. However, with no experience of the track, nor opportunity to test and, with the team still learning the new tyre and 2019 changes, I felt it was not the best option."

"It has been very hard this year, especially with uncertainty over Brexit, to pull together the required budget to go racing. I, therefore, owe it to my sponsors and my family who all help me get on the grid, that I always maximise all my opportunities to get the best results I can."

"It is important that I make sure they get a good return for their investment in me, to say thank you for their support, and to give them as much awareness as I can. I race to win and I have to make the best use of the limited budget I have and going to a race where, due to circumstances out of my control, I cannot give my best, I have to look at the bigger picture and this is why I will sit out the rounds at Most."

"The experience at the last round at Brands Hatch, where a error in set-up took away what would have been a strong top four finish, made me realise we need to be as a team, on the top of our game at all rounds,” commented Alex.

The focus for Alex now is to get back on track and ensure everything is back to normal later in the season.
